13394 new cases confirmed
[vs. 15109 for the same day last week. 20828 the same day two weeks ago.]
47 out of 47 prefectures reported cases yesterday.
No new daily case records.
Nowhere with five digits
Quadruple figures in 3 prefectures:
Okinawa, Osaka, Tokyo
30 prefectures in triple figures
14 prefectures in double figures
Tokyo on 1546 [vs. 1584 same day last week]
Osaka on 1151 [vs. 1502 same day last week]
Tokyo has been down vs. same day previous week for 30 straight days now, and they actually mentioned that fact today.
The number of positives at immigration testing was 12
[Border testing was relaxed even as double the number of people are being allowed into the country from June 01.]

The total of current active serious cases stands at 66, down 3 from the previous day.

Recovered cases at 8845021 (around 20,000 recovered cases up from the previous day)
Total active cases are at 179,670 (down around 6000 vs the previous day.
Percentage of active cases as a percentage of the grand total of cases is 1.98%.

So Beijing lifted its lockdown except for certain areas on June 06.
For about a month before that, eating and drinking inside bars and restaurants had been prohibited.

However, the city is now reporting that as of yesterday, a total of 166 people who visited this bar have been confirmed infected.

Authorities are expecting the outbreak to spread further as around 6000 people have been designated as close contacts, including people who were in the bar at around the same time.

Bars and karaoke parlors in the district have been closed.
The authorities plan to conduct PCR testing of Chaoyang residents and others for three days, starting Monday.
[Beijing officials are urging residents to take thorough anti-infection measures. Those who enter offices, commercial facilities and other public places continue to be required to show negative PCR test results.]
